OVERLAND PARK, KAN. – S/P2, a leader in online safety and pollution prevention training, has launched the new S/P2 Claims Staff safety training as a comprehensive course offering for employees in the auto claims industry.
The online training course is designed to meet the OSHA and EPA compliance needs of automotive claims adjusters, appraisers, examiners, and investigators.
“Claims staff employees need to be prepared for the on-the-job hazards they will encounter, whether in a claims center, an auto shop, or at the scene of an accident,” said Bob Medved, S/P2 Senior Account Manager and Industry Representative. “OSHA and the EPA require annual training in the safety hazards of the workplace, and this is essential for insurance claims employees.”
The course features 18 modules with need-to-know information on such topics as Bloodborne Pathogens, Safety Data Sheets and the HazCom Standard, Air Quality, Lifts and Jacks, and Violence in the Workplace. Each module is concise, informative, and engaging. Other topics include working around Air Bags, Hybrid Vehicles, and Personal Protective Equipment. After finishing the course, users are issued a certificate of completion.
“We are continually expanding our line of S/P2 courses, which includes those for the automotive service and repair industry, as well as the school market in the automotive, construction, cosmetology, and culinary trades,” said Kyle Holt, S/P2 President. “Updating and relaunching this S/P2 Claims Staff course aligns with our goals of protection in the workplace, and sets us on a path to develop future courses in the insurance market.”
