Yes. When a student posts their resume to S/P2 Careers, that resume is reviewed by our staff prior to being publicly available to employers. If a resume is deemed incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate, it is flagged and held until the student provides the necessary updates to their resume. Resumes are not held for spelling or typos.

When you have a subscription to S/P2 Careers, you can filter the resume database by industry, geography, high school vs. post-secondary, and other criteria. View the resumes that fit your criteria, and reach out to the student candidates you’re interested in. The candidate can respond, letting you know whether they are or are not interested in a career opportunity with your organization. If the candidate is interested, you receive the full resume with the candidate’s contact information. Schools that already have an S/P2 account automatically have access to the “Land That Job! Building a Resume” course. Have your students go through that course, build their resumes, and post those resumes on S/P2 Careers for businesses to find. Absolutely! S/P2 Careers has students in both high school and post-secondary CTE programs. We have had multiple post-secondary CTE programs use S/P2 Careers to recruit from high school programs. To protect your privacy, your email, phone, and home address are hidden on your resume from employers when they are reviewing the resume database.  Employers can contact you through the S/P2 Careers system, which sends you a message letting you know which business is interested in talking to you about career opportunities. You decide if you are interested in career opportunities with that employer by clicking a link in the email you receive or on your dashboard within the S/P2 Careers system. If you show that you are interested, the employer receives your full resume with your contact information, and the conversation can begin. If you state you are not interested, the employer does not receive your contact information and is unable to contact you for at least 6 months.
